About Us
Dear Friend Letters is the collaborative effort of sisters Autumn and Francine Day. After Francine moved from Northern California to Southern California, the two began corresponding by letter. Sitting down to write, and anticipating a letter’s arrival in return, became an increasingly meaningful part of the cadence of life.
After nearly a decade, letters too dear to part with have stacked up, laden with dried flowers and scraps of ribbon. After long musing on the bit of magic we’d found in a practice as old as time and yet steadily losing its place in modern life, we decided to expand the correspondence. We began to imagine what it might look like as a creative collaboration among a circle of like-minded individuals who, like us, might crave an excuse to slow down, to put memories to paper, and to share fragments of life as the seasons turn.
Dear Friend Letters is that project.
We warmly thank you for being here, and we hope to write to you soon.
